The idea was alright, but it looked absolutely terrible. These movies are too low budget to use CG in such a way.

The idea was good, but the FX in that scene weren't very good.

I liked the idea. However I found it fairly unrealistic because what laser is actually powerful enough to destroy a human head so cleanly? (I know, it's the Saw franchise, how realistic are a lot of these traps anyway?)
And as stated above, the effects of the trap in action were a bit... meh. It brought to mind the dogs in Resident Evil, if I'm honest. Halloran's head falling apart like some kind of genetically mutated flower looked more comedic than gruesome.
So far I have met:: Costas Mandylor, Tobin Bell, Julie Benz, J. LaRose, Darren Lynn Bousman, Michael Emerson

Wish there was a "meh" option. Liked the trap, hated the cg
