What's the Deal with Obi?

So, we know Obi helped Kidnap the other people in Saw II but why did John need Obi for that?
Yeah I know, Mark Hoffman wasn't in the series yet, but he is now so how are they going to explain the need for Obi? Why couldn't Mark or Amanda do it?
What did Obi do after he knocked the victims out? I doubt he brought them over to the house. We clearly see Hoffman drag Obi in Saw V. I'm just wondering what happened between the time when Obi knocked the victims out and when Hoffman dragged the people in the room.

And what was up with that flashback scene in Saw III where we see obi walking in the park?

Yes this is something that i hope will be addressed in Saw VII. Obi was an interesting character and i'd love to see a little more about him including all the answers to those questions.

As for the park this could be how John meet Obi, maybe it will be expanded in Saw VII. Maybe they just threw him in as an extra for that scene.

They'd need more people to kidnap so many fellas, all across the city most likely; they weren't all in close proximity like the VI victims were >.>

Yeah besides Hoffman has a job, LoL he can't just go around snatching people. At least that was my take on it.

As for Obi in the park, yeah that really bothers me, but in this case I think it's one of those things where the writers had a plan for it but forgot about it. Such as, how Scully was kidnapped through her window in Dwane Barry when she lives on the second floor.

I think Obi was supposed to be sort of a fall guy. He was supposed to kidnap everyone because then everyone would be mad at him and saying it was all his fault they were there. That way there hate and anger could be directed more towards Obi rather than Daniel and Amanda so that they could be more sure that they would make it out safely.
